Garden Spot Youth Baseball Program Overview
Mission Statement: “The Garden Spot Youth Baseball Program is a program of service to youth. Its goal is to provide children ages 17 and below opportunities to develop, grow, and gain experience while having fun and enjoying the game of baseball in a safe and healthy environment.”
About the Program:
Garden Spot Youth Baseball offers programs for all ages and levels ranging from 4-17.
- T-Ball/Coach Pitch (ages 4-7) - This program is for young kids just getting started with the game of baseball. Tees are typically used at the beginning of the year and slowly transitioning to soft toss or coach pitch once the kids are ready.
- Minors/Machine Pitch (ages 7-11) - This program is for new or less experienced players that are still learning the basic concepts of the game. A pitching machine is used for consistent pitching allowing for focus on basic batting and fielding development.
- 10U* (ages 10 and under) - These teams are kid pitch and for more advanced players based on evaluations at the beginning of the season. Teams will travel around Lancaster County competing against other teams in the Lancaster County Youth Baseball League.
*Team placement for 10U, 12U, and 14U will be based on evaluations depending on amount of kids in each age group. Player age is as of April 30th, 2024. LCYBL offers sections 1, 2, and 3 for varying skill levels. More advanced players would play section 1 or 2 and new/less experienced players would play section 3. Each section is a competitive league with the potential for a year-end tournament or playoffs.
All programs are offered in the Spring (April - June) with the exception of 17U which is during the summer. 10U, 12U, and 14U programs may also be offered in the Fall (Sep - Oct).
